XP RD - Can't connect after joining domain

Added Windows SBS 03 to local network and can no longer log on to systems remotely. That about sums it up. Ever since I brought the Small Business Server online as a file server most of the 5 systems I use can't be logged into remotely. Does SBS change some settings or use a firewall of it's own to block remote access? It seems as though the server is the culprit since everything was fine before it was brought into the network.

Thanks for looking,

Did it implement a group policy disabling remote desktop? Check what GPOs are applied would be the first thing I would check.

There is definitely a policy enabling the firewall on SBS clients. It might not allow RDP by default. Might outright turn off RD on clients too, like yinan said. Can't recall off the top of my head and all of my SBS boxes have custom policies now...but yeah, poke around in the policies to see what's being pushed to your clients.

There's a couple of things to check:

1) "GPResult" at the client computer's command line will show which Group Polciies are being applied. Once that's determined, view the Policies on the SBS Server Management Console

2) Check that Remote Desktop is enabled in the System Properties Panel.

3) Check that Windows Firewall has an exception for RDP.

4) Check that all Automatic-Start services are started.

You are using the built-in SBS Remote Web Workplace to access the computers remotely, right?

1. ) No gpo's have been applied.
2.) Yep
3.) Yep
4.) What services? There are 2 remote services that weren't started 'remote access auto connection mgr" and "remote access connection mgr". I started them but got nothing.

I'm accessing from the WAN through port forwarding. One of the odd things I've noticed is there is one system I can access from another desktop once inside the LAN. If I try to reach it from the WAN it's a no go.
