XP Problems

Okay, so the XP installation almost went without fault. But I fixed the other problem. The thing I want to do is have that little icon next to my name (which even after I created more acconts, doesn't appear) and like, when I log on. It's not the normal logon screen, it's like the old Windows 98 logon, it says name and password and the OK button.. I want it to be pretty I just plan on reinstalling XP, but I partitioned the drive.. Can I still uninstall and then install again?
