XP problem when trying to unistall a program

I installed a game on XP and it messed up during installation. The game runs fine, but it won't let me unistall it. Is there a way I can remove it from the Windows XP software list? (I am referring to when you go into the control panel and go to add/remove programs and then select the program to remove). What can I do? I already tried reinstalling the game and that doesn't work.
