ANyone using both of these? If so, I would be interested to know:
1. Do you see any difference in performance?
2. Is there anything extra in Pro that you wish you had in Home?
3. Is it worthwhile to go from Home to Pro for any reason?

I have copies of both, and am considering putting pro on if it is worth it.

PM me if you have any other suggestions on the topic that i may need to know.

Thanks!

I would personally go with pro since you have both. Just a few more bells and whistles that I like.

It really depends on what you're planning to do with it. XP Pro has a lot more features than Home. For example, Remote Desktop Connection, and some others, but I'm not sure what. I'd go with Pro also...it has the same things as Home, and a few more features. Hope this helps.

Well pro is definitely better in the sense that it can go SMP support more RAM i think and also have more advanced security and network functions, plus all the stuff guys said above me. Pro would be a great choice just so you can look cool with that "proffesional" in the name :)

I am not too interested in the faq. There really is no hands on there. I wanted real user input. Just wanted to see if anyone noticed any difference while using them both. IE: is gaming any different in Pro vs Home? Just looking for the things you don;t find on paper, only what you experience as you use it. So... keep it coming if you have used both. I already have HOME up and running, and have for a couple of months now. I am just contemplating the swith, which obviously means a format and reload. Thanks for everyones input so far.

If you had read the FAQ, you would be able to see if there are any differences that relate to gaming, or anything else. If you see something on the list that you may find useful, then you may consider going to WinXP Home.

There are no differences the relate directly to gaming performance, so strictly speaking, there is minimal impact.
