XP Pro SP2 recognizes incorrect drive...

Four days ago, I re-formatted my primary hard drive and re-installed Windows XP Pro SP2. I didn't realize the problem until yesterday. I went to burn a CD and Nero kept coming up with a SCSI error. I reinstalled Nero, still had the SCSI error. I downloaded Nero 6.6, but I still got the same error.
From previous experiences, I remebered that I sometimes had to disable direct memory access for my optical drives (I think Windows called it PIO or something). I went into System Properties to fix it and I saw "SCSI" in the device names:
Pioneer 116 SCSI
Liteon 52327S SCSI

I have never had this problem before. I have uninstalled both drives, then re-installed them. I have done firmware updates. I have installed NForce driver updates. Nothing worked.

Any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks...

Mine are like that, too, but it hasn't caused a problem. My SATA hdds also appear as scsi. I wish I could help ya.

Is the device nero is picking up an external drive by chance? I know it has problems with those.
