xp pro problem

ok, i installed window xp...but then a virus effect a system32.exe file and i use norton to delete it...and then everytime i start up, it keep saying im missing it, so i decided to install xp again...so i install it and they ask me if i want to upgrade instead of full installation, so i did...and then it's going fine, until it gets to the part where it say "installing network", i waited and waited, but the bar doesn't move, it went a fourth of the way...any idea of what i should do?
 
Did you try to reboot the system and see if it continues it? Could just be a 'hiccup' in the system, but might go away with just a simple reboot.
