XP Pro or XP

I currently run WIN98SE on a small two computer home network. ICS for the cable modem.

I am getting reaedy to build a new computer to replace the main (computer with the ICS sharing) and was wanting to upgrade the the OS. I'm sure I'm one of the last people still using 98SE... 🙂

What OS should I install in the new machine?
Do / Should I upgrade the other PC to XP also?

The principle uses for both of these computers are for playing games and surfing.

it's basically a money issue.....


XP Pro should always be purchased if possible, but it is much more expensive than home. if remote desktop is a consideration, go pro for sure.....if remote desktop isn't a priority, save some money and get home.

A) Get a router and forget sharing internet via another computer. It makes me cringe to think of it. Get XP home for 90 OEM at www.pricegrabber.com or www.bizrate.com .
