XP Pro issues.

Hi guys,

Having some issues on a two week old XP Pro install. Here's the system:

MSI Pro2-A Mainboard
Duron 800
512MB PC133 RAM
Abit PCI RAID controller
2 45 Gig IBM's
Creative GeForce2 32MB
Adaptec 2960 SCSI host
Plextor 40x scsi cd rom
Plextor 12/10/32 scsi writer
Pioneer 16x DVD IDE
SBLive 5.1

The first issue is when navigating the desktop(ie maximizing/minimizing windows, scrolling, etc) i get a cross between a crackle and a pop. It sounds a lot like a dirty volume knob on a home receiver. Everything plays/sounds fine, i just get that annoying scratchy sound.

Second is when I open the my computer window and try to right click on any of my optical drives i get a "no scsi host adapters found" error. Device manager lists my scsi card as an "adaptec aic-7850 pci scsi adapter". I'm not having any functionality issues with any of my drives, it's more of a nuisance not being able to access the drive properties. The adaptec website lists no XP drivers for the model 2906 card.

I think that's it for now. Any light you guys can shine would be greatly apprecited! Take care.
