Thanks anyway OP

That's why you download a copy of Pro w/ SP2 from your favorite P2P program, and just use your legit key you get with this. Nothing illegal about that.

Oh noes!

You sure? I ordered one from the Windows Mobile Training site a LONG time ago and received it about a month back (took nearly 5 months to get)... didn't say SP2 was included, but the box I got showed it had SP2 on it.

So did you receive a retail box then?

Well, I have an account with more than enough points, but I don't work in retail anymore. Is there any way to cash in, or am I just out of luck?

If you are terminated from employment for any reason, you will have seven (7) calendar days following your termination date to redeem your Points.

Just sent them an email trying to get them to allow CVS Pharmacy Employees who work the retail aspect access to the points 🙂

how about 2 calendar years, lol. oh well, it was worth a shot.

Hmm...I work at Target and its listed as a store...I may just enroll in this and begin to earn points.

If they actually do verify this, who do they contact? My HR? I would like to let them know ahead of time.

heheh give me a break. SP2 is free. Just download it, and slipstream it, like the other poster said, or install it after the fact.

What does working in Pharmacy have ANYTHING to do with what the Microsoft Retail site is about? Isn't it for those who are associated with selling Microsoft products.. e.g. software and some hardware? Do you guys sell Microsoft Lortab or something?

What is Windows XP Professional NFR . The NFR part? I have the points and work in retail and want XP pro so just wondering what the NFR is?

Never mind my dumb not for resale

This offer says CD only. It does come with a Key correct? It would be my luck it won't come with a hey. It was $12.35 for the program shipped so the program was free and the money was for shipping as I had 100 points left and tried to order media something and it was the exact price $12.35 or if I added it with the XP Pro the charge went to $20.??

NFR = Not For Resale
They are going to send you an authentic CD with authentic serial number only; hence you are legally not allowed to sell it

anyone else notice how when you try to access the site from firefox, it's as if the site doesn't exist lol

Same here. Everytime I've ordered XP Pro from the MS retail site, it has come in a retail box sans the plastic clamshell.

They are limiting everyone to a single copy, now. I was hoping that the new policy would allow them to put up more juicy software and hardware, but they really haven't had much up until Office and XP Pro became available again. I'm personally holding out for the Mac Office and Virtual PC to become available (so I've got them just in case I have an itch to take the Mac Mini for a spin).

Thanks to the OP..I signed up the day I saw this thread and earned 2500 points in under a few hours over 2 days...ordered the XP Pro that day. I paid $10.80 shipping.

Got the XP Pro today, its a sealed retail full version with SP2. 😀

I can tell you from personal experience that once you are signed up, they do not verify your employment anymore. They only check at the time of signup. So once you're a member, you're good to go. 🙂
