XP Pro and Home...

This is the scenario and hopefully, one of you network wizards can save my life. I have a linksys wireless router wired to two brand new dells on windows xp home. I have another desktop on wireless on xp home and a laptop on wireless on xp pro. They all have internet, no problem. However, I cannot for the life of me get the print sharing to work. The farthest I have gotten is only being able to get the laptop with xp pro to print to the shared printer attached to one of the dells which are wired directly to the router. I really really really dont want to have to buy a print server.

Any suggestions? I have tried getting this to work for like 12 hours with no luck so any suggestions are appreciated! Hope to here from you guys soon.
 
There is no need to buy another print server. XP Home can share files and printers as can XP Pro. Limitations of home are that it is lacking remote destop and cannot be joined to a domain. (There are a few more as well)

What kind of errors are you getting when trying to connect to the other machine? Are you using the networking wizard or are you attempting to do this on your own?
 
networking wizard, it keeps asking me to create a network setup disk but the new computers dont even have floppy drives on them!
 
As far as error messages, none. It's just not working. I set up the printer for file sharing and when I try to browse for it on the other computers, it doesn't show up.
 
Can you hit the share on the machine sharing the printer from the other machines.

i.e \\192.168.1.x
 
in the address bar of one of the machines trying to use the shared printer put in the following "\\192.168.1.x" without the "" and where the x = the last octet of the machine sharing the printer.
 
start > run > "cmd" (without quotes)

type "ipconfig" (no quotes)

on the host machine and you will get the IP address.
