where can I get my hands on a copy of xp 64 bit?
looking but not finding here, and could use some help.

Serious question, if not for testing, why would you want it? Vista 64 is MUCH more supported and will continue to be, while XP64 is pretty much orphaned.
 
XP Pro 64-bit is a dead end product. When I used it over a year ago, software and driver support was atrocious. I'm sure it has gotten much better now, but the future of 64-bit computing certainly does include XP. I would call it an "experiment" more than anything else.
