XP out of control- will NOT display ftp pages..

Basically the title says it all......

I have been running this install of XP for about 2 months. Suddenly the FTP client that is native to Explorer will not come up. I get a "The page cannot be displayed" message. Anyone seen this and got a quick fix. I have looked at the setting on the Tools|Internet Options|Advanced Tab and checked and checked the Folder view setting.


Fortunately I have several Linux boxes up and can get in using them so.......

ANy help would be appreciated...
