XP OE

Hi, my XP Pro have gone haywire. I have problem with Video, Dial up and some mysterious constant upload and download stream TCP activity, connection etc etc. Not to mention my computer had run faster in win98SE then ever in XP PRO.What I want to do is. Go back to Win98SE. Since I have Fat32 system on my HDD so there is no problem. What I really need to save is my E mail and contacts. The safest method I could have think of it is. Re sys the HDD and Reload the MBR. Renaming the Windows and ProgramFlies Dir. Then Install Win98SE. My question. Once I have installed the Windows then revive my E mail. In past I use to search in *.mbx *.idx, *.dbx etc. Then tell to OE to retrieve the message. But I can't find these in XP 🙁
Where are those files. Some how with XP Pro I can't seems to find iot at all 🙁 Can I do what I am asking for it ?
Is it even possible >

C:\Documents and Settings\PapaBear\Application Data\Identities\---

Do you think I can reinstall and it will wash off every thing except my E mail and address?
BTW I did find the address book 🙂

Open Outlook Express, then go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>MAINTENANCE then click on Store folder, this will tell you exactly where your files are stored.🙂
