XP Motherboard

Shuttle AK31A KT266A........it has 6PCI/4DIMM/1AGP and tweaking features that rival SoftMenu (according to reviews)........only $89 at newegg.com............this board is like the best value out there...............period.

Heard bad things about Shuttle though. How's the performance of this board? I assume it allows FSB and V-core settings via BIOS?

What do you get when you overclock nowadays, 6.892340921 frames per second? I gave it up, as it seems so 90s'ish to me 🙂

I'm going to wait for the MSI, but also considering the Shuttle, too...hear great things about it.

Shuttle sucks really, really bad. I tried to build a Slot A system with them about a year ago and had nothing but trouble. The first board I got shorted out just by me pushing the reset button so I had to get another one. Then the other one did the same thing!!! And they were terribly slow even when they worked. I finally got a DFI board for less than the Shuttle and it has worked great with no problems ever since.

I am not trying to plug DFI, but I am definitely trying to bash the hell out of Shuttle. Or should I say Sh*ttle.

So, I had a bad Chevy in 1988, so do they still all suck? Come on, dude, get with the now...and pull those pants up, turn that anime junk off, and go play with your DFI 🙂
