XP Menu Problems

I'm having weird problems with menus in XP. For example, whenever I try to right-click and get the context menu in IE, the menu fades in but really, really, and not smoothly at all. Also, when I open up my start menu and click something to open, it takes a very long time time disappearing, in fact I can see it disappearing in different pieces.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

By the way, my specs: TNT2 (latest XP drivers installed), 128 MBs RAM, Athlon 1.33ghz processor, and uh...that's really all that should apply.
