XP Login problems

I use to boot my system right into Windows XP. Now it comes up to a login screen and I have to select my name to login. Is there a way that I can get back to where I use to boot my pc , walk away from the computer, and when I come back the desktop is up withouit having to select myself.

Very annoying. I don't have a clue how it changed. I'm the only person on the pc.

Windows XP SP2 Corp Edition.

Assuming you aren't on a domain, you can use the User Accounts control panel to change your user account so you can auto log in without being prompted for a password.

Do the F-1 re boot, go to the exit tab (the last tab....anyways), scroll down and highlight "load defaults" press enter, then "yes" , enter again. Or go to the first tab, scroll down to supervisor/user password and Disable. Make sure to Exit and SAVE changes.

A disbled user/supervisor password setting is default mode.

sorry...that's the advanced tab for password settings (you'd a' dug it up). And F-10 to "save and exit" after reloading defaults at the exit tab.
