XP issue with usrmgr.exe

I placed a shortcut on my local XP Pro environment Desktop to the usrmgr.exe file on one of my Win2K servers. The shortcut works fine for the domain that I'm logged into, but will not allow me to switch over to any of the other domains that I have admin rights over.

I've done a little searching on MS' Knowledge Base, but haven't found anything that jumps out at me as being useful. My connectivity to the other domains and the network in general is just fine in all other regards.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Welp. Nevermind. The problem lies in trying to run the .exe from the server via the shortcut.

I copied the .exe locally and got access almost immediately. I find it interesting that XP Professional does not come with this utility.

Anyway - thanks for reading.

it doesnt come with it, you have to install the adminpak to get those tools on either 2k Pro or XP Pro (of course you need the 2K3 adminpak to install on XP Pro).

Is this an NT domain? Or a mixed mode AD? Because usrmgr doesnt work on a native mode AD domain. If it is a mixed mode domain, you are still better off using dsa.msc, which is the active directory users and computers mmc.
