I was formatting my machine and reinstalled XP, the USB floppy that I was planning on loading my NVRAID drivers from was recognized at first by the XP install and it did load the NVRAID drivers.

Then it asked for them again after copying the files over to the HDD and it couldnt seem to find the USB drive.

Any solutions for this?

I had to plugin a old FDD that was laying around to get it to load the RAID drivers the 2nd time it asked for them during the install.

I have thought about slipstreaming before. But never bothered with it. Might create a disc though with all the latest XP updates and the RAID driver though.. be nice to use on any machine.

I bet Vista will install NVRAID drivers automatically. Prob support USB floppies throughout the install process as well.

Thanks

Created myself a slipstreamed xp install using nlite. all the latest updates and hotfixes included.. only 1 wasnt downloading from MS's site of about 50 post-SP2 updates.
also threw in WMP11 beta and IE7beta2.. why not, even if they are beta.
I cant stand IE6 or WMP10 anymore.

I do it all the time on my P4P800. You have all the USB options turned on in BIOS?

I think I do? I even enabled USB keyboard and mouse.

It does recognize it at first, then when it asks for the RAID drivers the 2nd time it doesnt find the floppy drive any longer.. really strange.

Probably an issue specific to DFI?
