XP Home: Stop the highlighting of newly installed things

HOW DO I STOP THIS?! ITS SO ANNOYING I DONT WANT TO CLICK ON EACH LITTLE THING I INSTALLED TO GET RID OF THE BRIGHT BLUE CRAP!

right click on Start > properties > Start menu > customize > Advanced >Uncheck highlight newly installed program.


Try check your keyboard too,it seems your caps lock is stuck.

for more customizing of windows try downloading x-setup, you can do all sorts of nice changes to windows.

You don't need any special product add-ins to make it look right. Just switch to classic mode.

Right click on the Start menu, then choose Properties. Click customize on the right side, choose the Advanced tab on the next window and uncheck Highlight Newly Installed Programs.
