Xp has it's own burning software?

I jus switched from 2000 to XP....

Does Windows XP have it's own burning software? How do I access it?

It's built in... not really software.

Just double click on your CD-R(W) drive. You can drag and drop files in there, or just right click on file(s) and click send to> what ever drive your CD-R(W) is.

Seriously, ERmergency has it right. It works "ok," I prefer Nero and "the other half who must be obeyed" like Easy CD Creator.

Install aftermarket software like Nero, EZ-cd creator..etc.. XP does have Roxio built in stuff to burn, but it bites, and swaps needlessly to your HDD

XP actually uses a plugin (?) thats actually created by Roxio.

As usual, M$ wants to give users as many things as possible integrated with their OS, but again as usual, they suck

Yeah I agree, their limited funtion does suck, but just download Nero, and use that, more options and better all around!
