XP Firewall

How do I turn on (or off) the Firewall built into XP? I was told that is defaulted to off, so I want to turn it on. Also, is this firewall anygood, or is it a waste of time to use it?

If you have sp2 installed its in control panel. There are numerous threads here already about the firewall.

I don't have SP2 yet. Guess I should go ahead and get it.

If you don't have SP2 you can turn it on or off by right clicking My Network Places-->Properties-->Net Card-->Properties-->Advanced
