Xp file browser

When I add files, for example let's say I am in win amp, the browse funtion opens in list or icon. How can I make it always open in detail mode?

Go into Explorer. Make the view there, the "Details" view. Then go to Tools -> Folder Options. Select the "View" tab. Click the "Apply to All Folders" button.

the default should be details, having the default be "GIAGANTO HUGE STUPID ICONS" is one of the most annoying things about XP
