Windows XP is an OS product.

Athlon XP is a CPU product.

Corvette whatever XP would be an automobile product.

You can use the exact same trademark as some other product as long as your product is not competing in the same market as the other product.

The most classical example given to illustrate this law is Apple Computers and Apple Records.

<< Windows XP, Athlon XP, TweakXP......what's next?! >>

WindowsXP --- Microsoft trying really hard to think of a "hip" name to get everyone to buy(download) the new Windows.
AthlonXP --- People are sheep, Marketing thinks that people will believe that the chip is "optimized for winxp"
TweakXP --- Haven't used it yet but I assume it's TweakUI for windows XP... would seem correct since there are versions out there for win9x and they won't run on win XP.

What about OS X?? as soon as the Beta was released, the next MS OS was called XP which also had an 'Aqua' feel to it.... hmmm
