They apparently released the wrong drivers. They updated the driver page 12/14/01. I've got one of these puppies and can't seem to get it to lease an IP on my BEFW11SR4. I'm using a brand new Dell Inspriron 8100 running Win XP Pro. Anybody have any luck yet with this card?

Here is the new link Linksys

Finally after playing around with the thing, I'm happy to say that it is working. I ended up having to change my SSID. For whatever reason, it would not work with the one that I have been using for another PC on my network that has a PCI Network Adapter. I changed the name of the SSID and it hooked up. Then get this...I changed it back to the original one and it worked as well. Go figure.

The only problem I'm having right now is that I can't seem to get the WEP settings to work. Whenever I set the WEP, it will not allow me to lease an IP from my AP. It sees the point and the connects, but won't get the IP. Any suggestions?

I have got WEP working. I just had to re do my WEP key when I upgrade.

Downfall, the card still does not natively support XPs wireless capabilites (i.e. the ability to identify networks in range and keep multiple network settings.)

I finally got my WEP to work. I had to rename my SSID at my AP and connect to it with WEP enabled. After I connected to the new name, it worked fine. I then changed things back to the old name and it locked in perfectly the first time. I guess I just had to play a little more. It may not be and idea set up yet, but it is so sweet to be able to take my laptop anywhere in the house I feel like working.

The file that Linksys released:
Driver Version: 0.29.10a
Date Released: December 12, 2001

Worked just great with XP after I downloaded the firmware update to my access point. Granted, it is not native driver support included for XP, but it works.
