XP driver problems

I may have missed something about this but does anyone else have problems with the XP detonator drivers for Nvidia cards? When I installed them on my computer everything went hay-wire as far a 3d division goes. When I removed them the problems went away with them... Did nvidia just mess up this time or am I having a localized scenerio?

sorry if repost/ off topic

Which version of the driver are you using? I just downloaded the newest yesterday and installed it on my GeForce 3 ti 500 with no problems.

I've had major problems with drivers under XP.

1. The 23.11 and 23.12 drivers cause infinite loop errors. The bizarre thing is that this problem was supposedly cleared up a while back, yet I have NEVER had that error before using these two drivers.

2. The 21.83 drivers are stable, but cause major artifacts in games with some engines. Even worse, there does not seem to be a pattern of what games will be affected. 3DMark2000 and 3DMark2001 are both affected, even though they use different engines, and Max Payne is not affected, even though it shares its engine with 3DMark2001. Quake III based games are not affected. Vampire and Gothic are both unplayable.

3. The 15.70 drivers are perfect, but slower than the newer drivers.

Anybody with similar experiences? I really would have to have to do a rollback dance to use different drivers with different programs.
