I've seen a couple comments before saying that XP Corp can only be obtained one way, and that's pirating; there was even a lock because of it. So how do you get the corp edition legally? MS just didn't make an XP ver without activation and put it up on their FTP for everybody to grab, they made one to sell....

Mods, I apologize if you feel this is inappropriate, but it's a genuine question....

What are you talking about.

The Corp version you speak of is the same as the Professional version. You go to a store and buy it.

Many people are mislead. There is two versions of XP out right now

1) Windows XP Home Edition (Activation Required, Fewer Features)
2) Windows XP Professional Corporate (No activation required when bought in bulk [5 or more licenses])

I Know My Copy of ot was obtained Legally..... There were just left over lissences from work so a few of us are blessed with legit copies of it...
I Believe that the XP Pro in stores does require activation, But I am not certain...

I have Corporate and it doesn't require activation. I've done my damndest to get this to look like Win2000 Theme. I hate the way the default WinXP looks. I know I'm a snob.
