Xp cd question

I have an xp cd and it says "Compaq only systems" will this work with an athlon 64 and if not is there any way to make it work ?
 
It should work. I've used an HP WinXP CD with a Dell system, and it worked fine. That stuff is just branding. You'll still need a valid new license key, though.

Depends. You may wind up with all the Compaq addons once you install. Also, the installer won't see the right bios string and will require you to have a valid XP license to use.
