XP cd burning problem

everytime i write a cd either using nero or the built in cd burning i get this error "Only part of the readprocessmemory or writeprocessmemory was completed" when tring to access the cds after they are burnt please help

Are you copying a cd? Or burning data straight from your hard drive?

Also.. what speed is your burner.. and what speed are your disk(s) rated at?

I remember there being an issue with Windows XP and certain CDRW drives.....don't remember exactly what the problem was though. Try the Windows Update from the start menu.

im moving raw data from my hard drive and there is no update ive already downloaded all avail updates

Microsoft's Windows Update site has an update for a CD burning issue. You may want to try that out. Hope this helps.

Can you read the burnt CDs on other computers and/or other drives besides the burner?

I used XP for a month and it's just a horrible experience. The CD works fine with my Lite-ON 12x10x40x.
Lot's of things didn't work. My suggestion is to wait until at least SP1 come.
