XP BSOD problem....

GoingUp

Lifer
Everytime I try to scan something I get that goddam BSOD error of IRQ Not less or Equal to 0x0000000A

I have the latest drivers for my scanner. Anything else that you recommend that I can do to eliminate the error? Uninstall the scanner and reinstall it?

How have you got it connected? When I was running Windows 2000 it would give me the BSOD if I had it plugged into a USB hub, If it directly connected it, it was fine....try switching to another USB port if possible. You have latest motherboard chipset drivers installed?

I have it plugged directly into a hub.... it is a USB 2.0 scanner and I have been meaning to get a USB 2.0 card.... maybe this is the excuse I needed! 😉

Well I bought the USB 2.0 card and it did nothing!

I updated the bios and everything is workin great now. I cant tell if its cause the bios is updated or cause my memory timings before were too aggressive....
