Anyone know where I can find a VERY detailed description of the XP boot process (which files are loaded by which processes in what order) up until, say, the login screen? 🙂

The white papers should answer you question.
An an slightly off note the bootvis.exe (download section) does wonders improving system boot time. I went from 57 seconds down to 23.😀

Ive used bootvis to look at what is taking how much itme, but how do you use it to speed up the boot?

(the links are good thanks 🙂)
