I upgraded the BIOS to my machine and now my C Drive installation of Windows XP will not boot from the hard drive, the CDRom and floppy disk boot fine.

I went into "repair" mode and did a BOOTFIX and a FIXMBR or something like those.

Neither of those worked.

is there a way to "sys" WinXP? Or, any other suggestions?

Thanks - Howie

Do you get an error? If so, what is it?

Did you check the boot order in the BIOS?

This sounds like a hardware issue, not an OS issue to me.

Nope - no error.

It goes in boot order
says looking for boot thingie in IDE-0 and then skips it and tries the next....
