XP - automatic pagefile defrag causing problems

Everytime I boot up XP, I get the automatic defrag bluesceen and it starts defraging c:\pagefile.sys. Is there some way to get around this? When I looked in Windows Explorer, the pagefile.sys isn't even shown. How can I get around this happening every time?
