Has anyone else noticed that the sound in Unreal-engine games (Deus Ex, Undying, etc.) is garbled under Windows XP with a Soundblaster Live! card? I have been having this problem ever since I first started running XP with the RC1 build, and neither subsequent builds of Windows nor updated SB Live! drivers have resolved the problem.
I do not experience sound problems in any other games, only Unreal-engine based ones -- the only exception being Unreal Tournament, which seems to work just fine.
Please help!!!!
P.S. - I know there is an EAX library patch for Unreal Tournament on Creative's website. This is *NOT* what I need; EAX is not the source of the problem because the sound will be corrupted the 2nd time I run the game even if I never enable Hardware 3D Sound. Also, as I said, Unreal Tournament is *NOT* giving me this problem, it is other Unreal-engine games, specifically Deus Ex and Clive Barker's Undying.
