I am interested in buying my first notebook and it has Windows XP on it. The notebook is a HP ze4210. Does anyone know if Office 2000 will work with XP. I talked to the people at HP and they said it would but he is the seller and I am the buyer so of course it would. : ) If it will not work would it be possible to format and install Windows ME?

Also is it simple to hook up the laptop to a regular monitor?

I also posted this in the software forum.

I've also been running Office 2000 on XP without any problems for a year now.

Yep, works fine. Hopefully you dont have SR1 like I do, or you will have to activate it as well as XP each reinstall.

Office 2K works just fine under XP. I have XP on my lappy at work with Office XP Small Business Edition and I installed Front Page from my Office 2000 Premium with no problems as well.

Yes, Just plug the monitor into the SVGA jack on the laptop.
