XP-90 Fan Question

There are no 90mm fans they are all 92mm, some companies just get lazy and list 90 instead of 92.

Most LED fans are junk, I'm going to recommend Panaflow. Jabtech has nice selection and is cheaper then Frozencpu.

Yea I already have a good 92mm fan here, its just that I want something to spice it up for LAN's etc.

I think it's really a bad idea to 'spice... up' the fan that goes onto the processor. That's one of the very critical areas where you want the best fan possible. Not some crappy fan with bling but no balls.

I just picked up an XP-90 from Jab-Tech here.

They had both the Heatsink and fan/thermal grease cheaper than anyone I found. Another thing to consider is to get the three wire Panaflows with B or BX designations. These have the third wire to control speed. I was looking at both the XP-120 and the 90--I sent an email to Thermaltake to make sure the 120 would work on my board and although they said it would, I might loose one of the ram slots. The 90 fits everything, so i bought the higher speed fan (H1B) and will use a fan controller to quiet it down if needed. You don't want to plug these into the motherboard--according to Jab-Tech--as they might fry it as well.

Best,
