the point is.. if i had done it properly, instead of being in an excited rush, I would have no problem putting it back on in perfect stock condition.
after looking at it, i will still be able to put it back on fine. just the pointy ends are kind of mangled a bit. the white pins and the bulge on the black pins is ok. But like i said, if you do it properly (take the 4 white pins out first) you should have no problem returning it to stock condition if you change your mind later.

Thanks for your description. You helped me a lot.
I now have my old Zalman 7000 installed on my Asrock motherboard. It is much quieter and cooler than the stock heat sink. And thanks to your description, i was able to remove the push pins without damaging them.
