many of us are in the same boat
it really depends on how much money you wanna spend and how high you want to overclock
the 1700+ is the cheapest of course
2100+ does about as good as the 2400+ but for cheaper
the 2500+ has the extra cache mmmmmm but costs more

man, remembe when it was cut and dry? "dude, like, just get the 300a", or "dude, like just get the 1 gHz T-Bird", or "dude, just get the 1.6a". man, if that barton does well, i think i'll get one.

From the benches that I've seen, the Barton doesn't pull away from the T-breds like I thought they would (clock for clock). :eek:

yeah i think they coulda done more to improve performance with all that silicon realestate
like add sse2 or improve the bandwidth of the L2
but ohhh well
guess AMD didn't have the man power to dedicate to such design changes
