I was looking at Compaq's business-desktop AthlonXP systems, and they're running 2000+'s and 2200+'s on
220W power supplies. :Q Of course, they're using nForce, which has onboard LAN, video and sound. For me, I would prefer at least 220W of combined power on the 3.3V + 5V channels alone, which calls for checking the brand/model of PSU to ensure that it's got that much. Antec's new 300W SmartPower, for instance, has 220W, while their old 350W has 180W, which is somehow the same as their PP303XP 300W unit. Confused yet? Not all megahertz are created equal, and the same goes for power supply wattage... check the specs to make sure you're getting what you think you're getting.
