xp 120 on MSI Neo2 Plat? Possible??

Has anyone tried fitting a xp-120 on a MSI Neo2 Plat.? Need to mod the board?

oh, sorry, I should have checked before asking.
What other heaksink should I use to have similar or better performance in terms of cooling.

xp-90 should fit. :thumbsup:

Aye if the XP 120 won't work go w/ the XP-90, it's pretty much the next best air cooler money can buy :)

Actually they are wrong on their own site. Its been posted here a number of times the XP120 actually does fit. I had one on my NEO2 Plat. Its pretty close to a couple of caps but they don't touch. The one side goes all the way over the first couple memory slots so you have to install RAM first. Otherwise it fits very nicely.

Someone did actually get it on, but he had to tilt the caps a little.

I also read that other people have gotten it on without it touching the caps at all, looking at the mobo, it looks like there's enough room to get it in there.

Yup when i put it on i didn't have to tilt the cap at all. You just have to be careful putting it on, but it wasn't tricky at all. So totally go for it :)

xp-120 would be the first choice, however I am also looking into the xp-90 unit because it seems to be much cheaper.
