The "Grow those back?" Wolverine was cutting off his limbs and they were just re-growing... so he gave him a swift kick to the nads.

That part I understand. It's the supposedly present "insider joke" that I don't think I caught.

I frikkin missed that part 🙁🙁🙁🙁

Can I get that from anywhere... just the VERY VERY End when you see Xavier still alive..

I just rushed outa the cinema 🙁

I'm thinking the same thing. I was disappointed that the movie wasn't better so I left. I guess that'll teach me.

saw it last night and I thought it was the worst out of all 3. I loved the first 2 so this one was very dissapointing to me. it was also very inconsistant with the comic books.

I can't believe how cheesy Phoenix looked. she has so much power and I guess i was expecting to see her in the fire bird form. i don't think that she was used properly.

i can't believe they had so many of the main characters die. I mean, i know it's probably the last of the xmen movies but that was stupid. I really wished that Brian Singer would have directed this one because I think the only reason why the first two were really good was because of him. The plot for the first two movies were way more solid.

fyi - the doctor at the end was dr. moira mactaggert. she was very close to prof x. a while back and she was also involved with the island of genosha
Not the island of genosha.

It is Muir Island. She runs the mutant facility there.

And as for X characters dying...the whole comic series is chock full of X-men dying and coming back...why should the movies be any different?

I assume Juggernaught's "I'm the Juggernaught,, bitch" == Dave Chapelle's "I'm Rick James, bitch!"

Lol, no that's not it. Watch the video linked earlier in the thread.

Meh, I like my idea better. 😛

-wtf? Juggernaut was NOT a mutant. The leech should have had NO impact on him.

I think it's safe to say they had no intention of explaining Juggernaut's past (Ruby of Cyttorak). It was easier to make him a mutant.

Yes, but you have to realize X-men has a huge fan base and also a huge Cyclops fan base as well. In the comics he lived to be older and have a child with Jean. I don't understand how they can change that completely. I know this is not the comics, but it is too inconsistent. They can at the very least give him a better storyline. Not like Jean walked up to him and shattered him into pieces. I mean Jean loves the guy, she can at least supress the phoenix and not kill him instaneously. They should at least show her struggling to a certain extent. I am a cyclops fan as you can tell and I was unhappy to what they did to him in X2. He got knocked out for basically the entire movie and they screwed him again in X3.

Now you're just being stupid.

1) It's based on a comic book, but that does not obligate the director to keep completely to the comic storyline. No movie can remain fully true to a story, it's just not practical. In order to keep the film moving and exciting, they had to cut out and edit parts of the comic. If you think about it you really wouldn't want to see a movie that is completely true to a story.

2) Comic books kill off characters and bring them back all the time, why couldn't he come back in the movies? They could make up a million different excuses and bring back all of the characters.

3) Cyclops sucks, he's even lamer than Aquaman

4) The way Xavier talked to Wolverine... NOTHING like the first two movies. The dialogue was horrible and definately changed the characters.

Deffinitely agree with this one. They really changed Xavier, made him seem more bitter and close minded, didnt like that.

But for the most part I liked the movie, I was dissapointed that Angel had such a small part and that Nightcrawler wasnt in it, wtf was that?

Yeah, you're correct about it being impossible to stick 100% to the comics but I think they veered a little too off for my tastes.

I too am a Cyclops fan. I liked the character in the comics. One of the most emotional scenes in my comic book reading days was the death of Phoenix where Scott held Jean Grey in his arms. For me to have Wolverine be the one just because he is a fan favorite doesn't fit too well for me. I like the Wolverine character but he has been the main focus on all three movies and I think this is overkill. I want to see more of the other characters such as Colossus and Kitty Pryde (luckily she was featured a bit more in this movie).

Is it neccessary for you to verbally attack me Eeezee? Did I insulted you in any of my threads. We all have our opinions to a certain extent. If you don't like my opinion then too bad. There is no need to start a flame war and name calling. All I was saying that I just wanted to see some consistency. Is not like I want the movie to be EXACTLY like the comics, word for word.

I was very disappointed that they cured mystique very early during the film. I enjoyed watching her a lot 😉

I just realized that this film had very little dialogue. It was mostly crap flying everywhere. Overall I would say it was entertaining, but I liked the first two a lot more. I guess it is impossible to make trilogy that gets increasingly better.

The Indiana Jones trilogy refutes that.😀

You have to wonder if there was a point where the writers just gave up and said "You know, we're stuck with this and can't do anything with the other characters. So let's just psych up the fanbase for a Wolverine spin-off."

Seriously, the entire movie was carried by Jackman. Intentionally or not, it was a little too off balance for that reason.

Will there be a wolverine spinoff? I know there's an x-men 4 planned, along with "Magneto" which will focus on young magneto and xavier

No nightcrawler... 🙁
Oh yeah, WTF was that about? I didn't even realize that until now.

Bingo! Especially after showcasing how bad azz he was in X2 where he attacked the President. Then, they get Kitty Pryde??? ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?

I thought it was a joke when it was Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Colossus, Ice Man (not as much)....and.....Kitty Pryde.

Ice, although he did a good job, was just too "young" to realistically be considered an Xman already.

And really, I have nothing else to say in regards to Kitty Pryde.

Yeah the more I think about it, the more I'm dissapointed with it.

Hated:

7) Xavier transferring his mind... that's so freakin lame.

Loved:
3) Magneto getting his powers back. Great idea.

Those two actions are basically the same thing, but one is lame and the other is a great idea? Hm..........

Apparently wolverine's character is quite feeble in my opinion... especially in the early cartoons...

In the movie.. he is seen more of a hero.

And are Jean and Scott actually dead?

He had to be kind of feeble in the early cartoons. They were kids cartoons. You couldn't have him slashing off people's arms and cutting open people's guts.

Frankly, that was part of the reason I never got into the X-Men TV cartoon version.

And are Jean and Scott actually dead?

Who knows?
