Well color me surprised. I was sure it would suck. I was planning on watching it anyway though.

Why does it seem like nearly every major block-buster lately is getting >95% reviews for the first few days of critic screenings? It sure looks a lot like critics getting paid off for good reviews. I dunno, most of these films that are getting insanely high reviews are good, but not >95% good.

My pick for this summers blockbuster. Dunno why .. its just getting a lot of 'free' publicity. Internet buzz is seemingly good as gold these days.

We must live in alternate dimensions. I've found most of RT reviews to be under 50% within the past year or so. I have a good RT rant somewhere if you search for threads made by me. I've found that RT critics have become garbage and the only way to get anything accurate out of that site is from the community reviews.

The movie isn't even out yet and audiences en masse are still clueless to it and it's got 100%? Right. Like that's going to last. I'll check RT a month after the film comes out to see if it's still even in the 90's (but I'm going to watch it in the theater regardless of what it gets)

Well the RT Community gives it ~54% and I'd trust that score before the critics score to be honest.

I don't really keep up with movie reviews so you're probably right. The only time I really look at RT it's when a thread is posted here raving about a ~100% review. In my opinion 100% reviews (in both games and movies) are given out too lightly. 100% should mean PERFECT.

This. I'm more inclined to agree with the average Joe than some "critic".

Just want to say that the 30 second ads/spots suck ass. I've seen the trailer in the theatre, and will definately see it Friday.

EDIT: Yes I know only 6 reviews so far, but still lot higher than I thought

meh. RT has gone downhill in recent years.

it was good till the wolverine/gambit fight. there was absolutely no reason for it. there could have been MUCH better ways to show off Gambits powers.

from that point on, it went downhill.

see my thread on this movie.

I hate the all or none approach to RT.

I just saw a preview for the new Terminator flick. Personally I can't wait for this one, Transformers and Terminator. Their gonna be epic, one way or another.

Transformers will be even more retarded than the last.

If it has transformer porn it can't be that bad.

Exceeeeeept... that's not what RT's percent system even means anyway. The percent just refers to how many reviewers favored the movie. If it receives a 100%, that means every review considered it "fresh." They could all rate it a 3.5/5 and the movie will still get a 100% on RT (although I've seen some discrepancies on the rating->fresh/rotten status where a 3.5 would sometimes be fresh and sometimes rotten...).

I watched this movie yesterday. At the time I thought it sucked about as bad as X-Men 3. I've decided upon further reflection, it sucked even worse. The plot is just terrible, so full of holes.
