???

Plently of people on the forums have taken an E6300 to ~3Ghz with the DS3, and like I said earlier duvie and markffw have got 5 S3s between them, all overclocking C2Ds to over 3Ghz.

I have only owned Asus/Asrock and Abit boards until I got my DS3.

My overclocking experience has been good with the Gigabyte board. I have a 6400 running at 3ghz with 1.3v.

As far as cooling, I do have a fan aimed at the nb. I had read so much about it getting hot I went ahead and set up a fan.

I would buy the board that has the features you want. I don't think you can go wrong with either. However, some claim you can get a bit more of an overclock out of the Asus.

I placed an order for the E6300, DS3, and Patriot eXtreme (also a $33 18X Samsung DVD burner [a steal]). Thanks for all the help.

w00t: I didn't get the MSI since I've gathered MSI's rep has gone downhill lately. Plus I have loved (or liked) all my previously-owned Gigabyte and ASUS boards.
