Lockheed Martin is always hiring for JSF projects, so I have heard. The project is 10 years long also, good deal if you can get in.

Well, it looks like my husband will be layed off for the holidays. They shut down his company for the next few weeks to save money. They say it will only last a few weeks. But it sucks major a$$!!!!

Atleast we kinda knew it was coming so we could plan ahead. But why does it always have to happen around the holidays!??!?!

:(
Is this a temporary loss of work? I wouldn't exactly consider this a "layoff" as a layoff is permanent. Many companies shut down for the holidays as this time of the year is the worst time for company productivity.

Most companies follow a trend of laying off their employees during July and during December -- although most of them just focus on December. I think companies do this to generate investor interests as layoffs are a good indication of profit for the companies. It drops the production costs while the productivity expectations are untouched (meaning those that didn't get laid off get a heavier workload).

It's cruel but that's the corporate truth. It's all about profit and sparking new investor interests.

Yeah, I wanna get laid off again this year, so I can tell my family that I can't afford anything because I got the shaft by corporate america!

And then I can spend another 4 months in depression, while I work countless hours at a grocery store, because UI is a ba$tard in MA, trying to find a job...

He's officially been laid-off in terms of filing for unemployment. They just had a meeting in which they received their ROE (record of employment) so they can file. Though its only temporary it has nothing to do with profit. more like the lack of profit! Theyve been trying to keep their head above water for the last year but because my husband has so much time invested in this company hes not willing to just walk away when the times get rough. This has happened before but before I knew him.

Although Im super happy its only temporary. Id rather it not have to happen at all since we rely on this money in a way most of his co-workers dont. I can't legally work here. So its not like i can help as to where their spouses can help bring in money in that sense.

It makes me feel completely useless and helpless.

Why would someone want an ozone generator?

Isn't it poisonous?

It's a highly reactive substitute for chlorination is water treatment. It's considered better in some circles because it's not as toxic to intake as radical chlorine is.

In can be economical. Just not profitable. Just look for the thread thatr includes the story about SAS shoemakers handing out $1000 bonuss for every year worked. Stockholders just want the bottom line. They don't care if people get laid off 2 weeks before christmas.
