Yah, I know it's still early but I got to thinking about it today and I really have no clue what to get her. After 2+ years together, ideas are getting harder and harder to come by.

Any suggestions?

How about that ring she's been pestering your about for thos 2+ years 😉 j/k Buy 2 Opera tickets (or some other cultural event) and give her a night to remember.

Get something expensive but requires your spending lots of "her" time together. Opera or play tickets are a great idea. Spa coupons, limosine rides... oh, and lingerie. Don't buy her handcuffs though (you'll regret it)!

I dunno, those velvet handcuffs and a 4 poster bed can be a lot of fun.. or so I've been told 🙂

Yea, the girls always say it's "fun". 😛

Oh, and if you think to yourself, "I could've bought a GF4 AND spent a day playing with it instead of this gift," you're on the right track. If it's a GF5, then she must be very special.

LOL,actually we vocalise a bit more extensively than that but this board has lots of easily impressionable young people on it so I figured I'd leave it at "Fun" 🙂

An engagement ring and a date.

haha...yah, I know it's been awhile but we're only 22 with careers that just got started so I think we'll hold off on the whole engagement thing. The 'cultural' event is always good though we've seen several Broadway plays already.

When in doubt, buy jewelry. It's the gift that women love, apparently because it's meaningful, when in reality it is the "I couldn't think of anything else" gift from men.

My fiance wants cleaning supplies and sewing stuff ???? WTF. My fiance and I have this thing now. We put up sheets of paper on the fridge. The christmas wish list for each of us. Kinda spoils it, but we each know we'll get eachothersomething we want.

Good idea:
A picture frame with pics of things you've done together over the past year. I am personally doing this forever. It will recap our lives together after 20 years. 50 years .... etc... We can always look back into our past that way. I have alist in front of me right now. A frame with pics of:
1) her new car
2) Henry (our new Cocker Spaniael)
3) pics of each of us (1 or 2 pics)
4) The landscaping I did on the house this year.
5) Our trip to San Fransisco to see her sister.
6) A Christmas tree if we put one up this year. I don't trust a baby cocker spaniel aroun a tree that is top heavy 🙂

when my wife and I first started dating and even now that we are married, I buy her jewerly. She loves it and theres always something different. I buy her a lot with emeralds because its her birthstone. Next is pearls.

j/k

"j/k"? Are you a moron? Do you have any idea how romantic that would be for her?
Ladies, wouldn't you love that?

A couple hours worth of time at a local spa/massage therapist and maybe a nice weekend get away to a nice little cabin or something.
