Xmas gift suggestion

Best friend's GF texted me asking what she should get him for Christmas. He just bought himself an ATIX1050 graphics card; he has an older Dell PC with a gig of ram. He mostly players RTS games; What would be the best RTS game for a PC like his?

He could play Company of Heroes on low settings - awesome game. I can't think of too many RTS games that an RTS gamer wouldn't have heard of.

i think the battle chest with the expansion and guide would be a wonderful gift that wont break the bank and will run nicely even on his older hardware.

the battle chest can offer an amazing value, be sure to get him into DOTA if he likes it.

If he hasn't play this yet and does not mind older game, Rome Total War & Expansions would run pretty well on his older PC.
