Last year I bought a Alpine head unit for my car. (XM Ready)

Few months afterward I started inquiring for the parts to connect to SAT Radio. Well, now that it's been 16 months later, I'm getting a bit fed up with this!

The story I'm getting is the additional parts you need for a deck that is XM ready are only being made by one company. They've been on back order and EVERYONE is waiting for them.

So I called the store who sold me the alpine and said, "So how about now?" The reply I received was, "Should be in by the end of the week."

Anyone seen the same thing where you live?

There's a universal XM receiver that interfaces with your HU. Check Crutchfield.

All you need is a reciever. It plugs into the back of your headunit and you control everything from the headunit.

Check ebay. That's where i'll probably purchace mine.
