XM radio porta-style

anyone know of a portable xm reciever<read:small, runs on batteries> about the size of a walkman/deskman? thinking this would be a great replacement for the current system.

runs on batteries? don't think that'll happen. especially because you need such a big honkin' antenna to use it

sony makes an xm receiver that you can use in the house *and* in the car...but it needs power either way

well, you wouldn't be able to get reception on a plane OR in a terminal since you need a clear line of sight to the sky above you to even get reception.

maybe digital radio (which is coming in the future) will be a better alternative
