Im looking to subscribe to XM radio next month hopefully...

I'm wondering who in AT has it?
How well does it function?
How many quality channels?
How much does the equipment cost, and what are my options?
(I already have a customized kenwood cd/stereo from Best Buy, dont really wanna replace it. Its sirius ready, but doesnt mention XM.)

Overall, rate your XM experience.

I have it

Works great.

Equipment depends on what you get.

XM gets a 9/10 from me. Even though I really only listen to two channels Squizz 48 and the city 67 I just like having any kind of music I want at the time.

I've had it for about a year now. Overall, it's pretty good. I got on for $70 for the entire year. I probably wouldn't have joined at the regular price. I have an xm ready alpine, so I just control everything through my head unit. It works well for me in that aspect. Total cost for the equipment was around $15, after all rebates. Channel wise I would say it's ok, but really depends on what you listen to.

All I listen to is XM 150 - XM Comedy and have had the service for about 3 years now. Great stuff, never listen to CDs or local radio anymore. And you can listen at work over the web.

XM came with my 04 TL. I liked most of the music channels but became addicted to Sonic Theater ch 163. I intend on signing up for 3 more year?s tomorrow.

I've had XM for almost two years and I love it. I bought a MyFi because I enjoy the portability and it came with a car kit and home stereo kit. I even made a little mount to mount it on my handlebars.

I usually record O&A overnight and listen to it at work with headphones since the MyFi can record up to 5 hours. They're pretty cheap now too, you can get the entire kit for around $150.00 that includes everything you need. I know you can get receivers cheaper than this, but I wanted everything in one shot and I wanted the portability and recordability features. Oh yeah, it's pretty sweet to have the remote control while driving too. I can switch around without moving my hands.

Get it here.
