spcr review: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article830-page6.html cliff notes: 5-6C better then zf1000, 4-6C worse then accelero, mounting hardware is fragile, two outer heatsinks dont make contact with gpu die on some GPUs

Thanks, I grabbed one. According to their website it does work with the 9600GSO and the 9600GT.

Here are their compatibility lists:
Nvidia
ATI

I've heard a few people claim to have never received their Xigmatek rebates, so be sure to keep copies of all your materials before submitting, and don't be afraid to file a complaint with the BBB if your rebate never shows up or gets wrongly denied.

Who here can report a positive rebate experience with Xigmatek? I'm a bit wary of these smaller companies that offer rebates, they usually seem to be the worst. Especially when it's apparently one guy doing all the processing, "To check the status of your claim, e-mail daniel.tseng@xigmatekusa.com."

Hell, according to the X-bit review, this thing blocks three adjacent slots. That's bloody rediculous. I couldn't use this if I wanted to because it would block my second card. Thanks for posting the deal OP; it's a real shame that I can't take advantage.

I think spcr reviewed the cooler and it wasn't too good. However, for $3+S/H it's probably worth it, assuming you get the rebate.

I pity the guy who does rebates though...

I think I read the same or similar review. They stated they broke it trying to install it & that it was cheaply made.
You're right, though...for $3 + S/H it should be worth it. If nothing else, for the fans! hehe.

I just got a reply to an e-mail from Xigmatek, initially I thought buying more than one cooler on the form would void multiple rebates, but it turns out different coolers qualify, up to 1 of each, rather than 1 total. They were pretty quick to get back to me, so that's good.

EDIT: Oh nooo, I got a backorder e-mail from MC for the battleaxe, I hope they get more stock before my 30 days runs out.

I had to go ahead and cancel my order, I wanted to pick up both the Battle Axe and the 1264 since the shipping bill was roughly the same for both as for one. I decided it wasn't worth the rebate hassle if I ended up paying full shipping and only getting one item, but if I'd gotten both I would've toughed out the rebate waits.

I got one from NJ, it drop temp 20 degrees from stock 8800 GTS 640MB, take five minutes to install, ram heatsink did not stick to the ram, have to remove the SAT HD cable out of the way. it is not quiet for my taste, have to use fan control to slow down the fan RPM.
