yeah tracking info from those Chinese importers is usually hit or miss. i bought one off ebay the other day as a gift (shipped from cali) and it seems pretty good. the manual is in chinese though.

supposedly xiaomi is working on a their v2 band that has a display.

the default mi fit app is pretty limited if you're not using a mi phone. there's a tweaked android app on the official forums that lets you do some additional stuff like notify you if you miss calls. there's an an app in the app store called mi band notifier that works also.

got this email from allbuy:

Dear customer,

We are very sorry to inform you that, there was a batch of orders accidentally lost by our logistics carriers. If your package is one of those, please kindly be more patient to wait. Until Now we've already arranged reshipment in priority by special shipping channels on July 8th.

In addition, we have started to cooperate with more professional shipping companies to enhance our delivery efficiency in the future.

Sorry again for so much inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

How do I know if my order was affected? Was that message I posted earlier an indicator?

I ordered a necklace holder for the Mi device so I didn't have to wear the bracelet. That came today but still no Mi device...

well the necklace holder rope is too small to fit around my head, so that's worthless. If I didn't have a nose or ears it might fit...

I will say, out of all of the fitness bands that are less expensive than a fitbit. This one is pretty good (we have 5 of them now) when used with the Android App direct from the mi.appstore instead of the playstore.

how is the mi.appstore version better?

I am using the play store version and everything appears to be working. its a bit slow to sync imo.

Got mine, can't use it. My 2 year old phone is on 4.1, MI require 4.4 and above. My Ipad can down load the app, but does not recognize the Bluetooth 4.0 standard, same for my android tablet, Ok on the version, but BT is not compatible. Funny my LG LS970 phone see the MI via BT but can't run the app.

Might load 5.x on my phone just for the heck of it and see if this thing works.
